Acting on its conviction that every child has promise, Gordon Parks provides urban-core children, including those who are at-risk, an individualized education that is balanced to develop character, intellect, creativity and physical well-being.

Open Spaces Kansas City Art Exhibit

Gordon's Gallery at Gordon Parks Elementary School is a 2018 Open Spaces exhibition site.

In the new Gordon’s Gallery, Kansas City native and internationally recognized photographer Dan White captures our STARS after travelling along an artistic journey confronting their past and creating visions of empowered futures. In collaboration with The HALO Foundation, our students bravely ventured into this journey of identity and self-discovery, and what they found were characters not hardened by the adversities of life, but heroes who show strength, resilience, and redemption in the face of danger.  Alongside the story of our STARS,Gordon’s Gallery tells the story of the strength of our community.   You are invited to stop in and tour Gordon's Gallery.

Viewing hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am - 3 pm

August 27 - October 26
