Evan Linville is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and serves as a counselor and member of the CARE Team at Gordon Parks Elementary School. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Truman State University and his Masters of Social Work from the University of Missouri-Kansas City . Ms. Pamela Justus has 23 years experience in education, and she might love her work even more now than when she began which says a lot. She has taught almost every grade and subject from kindergarten through 8th grade, spent 10 years teaching, supervising, and collecting data at UMKC School of Education, and was also an instructional coach. Her experience was gathered in Houston, KCK, and Kansas City.
Ms. Justus graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a reading endorsement. She earned her Master's Degree from UMKC in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Urban Education.
Ms. Justus enjoys living a life she doesn't need a vacation from. She seeks joy, whimsy, and creative fun in everyday moments. She loves her people, wellness as a study, and capturing her gratitude with a picture every single day.
Ann Marie Fontes is the behavior interventionist for the STARS/Focus Room and responds to students in need of behavior intervention and support. Mrs. Fontes facilitates breaks, calming strategies, and provides opportunities for students to develop coping skills, and to plan and create goals for themselves in the classroom and beyond
Mrs. Fontes joins the Gordon Parks family from her last position working with children with behavior disorders in the Shawnee Mission School District. She completed her undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University, where she began her professional career working as a legal assistant, but soon found herself drawn to administering to her local community, especially to children and their families. She has worked with children of various ages in a range of settings, including early childhood, special education, and enrichment.
Mrs. Fontes lives nearby in Roeland Park Kansas with her husband and three teen age boys. Mrs. Fontes emphatically believes in the importance of participating in the creation, growth and vision of Gordon Parks Elementary, to forge relationships with students and their families, and the local Kansas City community in order to provide opportunity, education and inspiration for the students of our school today and tomorrow.Read More
Mica Weaver was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. She has spent the last 13 years serving this community in the area of social work and community support. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Lincoln University and a Master of Business Administration for Webster University. She has worked with such community agencies as Swope Health Services, The Family Conservancy and the Division of Family Services.
